1) Finger position
Grip of left hand is to hold Tsuka gashira (the edge
of handle) by the little finger.
It is very important to grip tsuka (handle) mainly by
left hand rather than right hand, and the little finger and the ring finger
grip very well, close the middle finger a little bit softer than the ring
finger, and much softer with the forefinger.
Your thumb should be in a round shape.
The right hand grip shinai or bokken as the left hand,
but a little bit more softly than the left hand and put power into the little,
ring, middle fingers and the index finger.
The shape between your thumb and your index finger
should be formed a letter “V”.
